Please click on small picture to see larger picture, description and shipping information. (We appreciate your patience while photos load).

Purim starts Monday March 13, 2006 at sundown. It is the most festive of Jewish holidays -- a time of prizes, noisemakers, costumes, treats and gifts. The Festival of Purim commemorates a major victory over oppression and is recounted in the Megillah, the scroll of the story of Esther.

On Purim, Jews are obligated to make four Mitzvahs! 1- The reading of the Megillah 2- Festivity and Rejoicing 3- Shalach Manot (Sending Gifts--our personal favorite) and 4- Giving to the poor. A Shalach Manot Gift must contain 2 edible or drinkable items that don't need further preparation. They should also have two different blessings. Dried fruit is one blessing, Hamantashen (a Pastry) one blessing and chocolate is one blessing.

Queen Esther's Tower and The Chocolate Basket with Hamantashen are Shalach Manot Purim Gifts which cover this. The Death By Chocolate can be customized for Purim if you note in comments section of order form that you would like us to customize it for Purim.
